Samavedana (Pune Neurosciences Trust And Research Society)

Samavedana (Motto: “Feel Together, Heal Together”) is a leading social organization established to bridge the gap between essential and necessary healthcare and the underprivileged. The name itself means ‘To understand one’s pain and act towards easing it.’

The organization operates with a vision to bring essential healthcare within reach of the underprivileged, driven by compassion. Its mission is focused on three core pillars: treatment, prevention, and awareness. Samavedana provides monetary aid for tertiary care to the needy in association with doctors offering pro bono treatment and hospitals offering non-profit services.

Since its founding, Samavedana has touched over 45,000 lives and currently serves 20,000 beneficiaries annually.

Key Programs

• Financial Aid to Patients: Providing financial assistance for speciality/tertiary care treatment, hospitalization, surgeries, and medications.

• Women’s Cancer Screening and Care: Organising cancer screening camps for women to promote early detection and care.

• School Health Programme: Improving health behaviour of school children through medical check-ups, eye check-ups, and health education sessions.

• Mobile Clinic: Operating a medically equipped van to reach out to underserved villages (e.g., backside of Mulshi Dam, Pune).

• Organ Donation Awareness: Promoting and creating awareness about cadaveric skin and organ donation through awareness camps.
